Gladys Marie Baxter Duckworth 1904-1981, born in Brockton Massachusetts. She lived in London, prior to World War Two. Married Mr. Duckworth and moved to Laguna Hills, California. She resides in California while she painted hundreds of small landscapes, coastal, seascape paintings and at the time, sold her beautiful arts to Knotts Berry Farm, and different attractions. Her signatures on her arts " Verne". In many occasions, her works has drawn confusion with artist Verne Lucinda McCann Gilespie. Artist died in Laguna Hills, California on January 27, 1981.
