Art Nouveau took many of its motifs from nature. The nature seen through eyes looking for the sensuous and erotic / exotic animals, insects shapes and languid figures of women. Plant motifs, in particular capture a sense of movement and growth with entwined stems and buds depicts at the point of burst into bloom. This one a French art nouveau style woman figure tray of bronze/brass. Condition is aged, good with few scuffs and fabulous patina. attentive object on desk for small keepsakes. 6.5" x 5.5" .
