Tribal Turkman of Northern Persia, also Central Asia rug. with importance, in history of rug making, in 100% wool, from any part of villages that make up the district! A magnificent art, is hand woven, bold vegetable dye! Turkman Gul normally an eight sided geometric pattern of flowers, can depict any motif from a coat of arm to an open fret work of overlapping lines. Each village its own distinctive Gul, repeated throughout the pattern to make up the typical Turkman style. 4 X 6 measuring, (75"x48.5") fringes in tact. Unfortunately few spaces on the rug has been damaged due to climate condition, highlighted on the updated images, and is repairable.
