China, a wood Balance medicinal weight scale, is hand carved, stick, nested inside the wood case closes with bamboo braided ring. a Thin fine light color stick scale, evidently and presumably from around late 19 century. if there was any addition, or not, perhaps did not survive during the era. Very likely for weighing of small objects, in detail. It is engraved, in delicate, geometric light wood ring closure, an inch metal finial. 14" long, 3" length. aged, normal wear, overall good condition! it's a novelty object!
