an outstanding ABC sampler worked in cross and eyelet stitch with vibrancy colored silk on a cream ground. Jane Preston was 8 years old, elementary school girl when crafted this magnificent needle work sampler. Silk on linen art with original period wood frame secured under glass. Aged, distressed, and has a tear. paper verso, mounted label of frame shop, noted attributed to circa 1700's inscribed in detail from Southern California Frame Shop. Hand crafted by E.D. Schultz. Needle work inspires alphabet, symbols of hearts,scripts in colors, visibly bold Red.
