A Violin is bearing label inside Jacobus Stainer In Absam Prope Oenipontum 1757 Made in Germany in print and partial handwritten. On the violin also mark of Stainer and possibly carving of the name of collector. We believe that violin is a copy and is a vintage musical instrument. One of the string is changed, scroll is strong. the body is in good shape. We did not practice as bow is unavailable The violin has a history with collector. Finger board in tact, tunning peg, bridge , and chin rest all in good position. The white could be of ivory. Overall in good condition with many imperfections. That would be to be inspected by professional music instrument shop. Source of acquisition Charity Establishment, with purchase statement. The violin is lightweight.
