Letter we received from Artist's Niece was incredibly valuable. She wrote that Juan Nakai not only was a painter, but he was a carpenter. He built furniture upon his move to Shiprock New Mexico. In AZ He lived with his siblings and parents. He lived in NM for the rest of his life..
" she wrote, If you travel through the Shiprock town, stop and check out the Chat N Chew drive-in diner. Juan's painting still decorates the inside of that diner".
