Ruth Van Sickle Ford born 1897 in Aurora Illinois , died 1987 in Aurora Illinois. Known for portrait, landscape and still life painting, most watercolor. She was art teacher, and Director of Chicago Academy of Fine Arts. She credited artists George Bellows, and John Carlson. An Award winner , her works are in many permanent public collection. A listed artist with impressive auction records. Book entitled Warm Light Cool Shadows has been written about the life and art of Ruth Van Sickle.
